At iExplorers Montessori, we support children’s natural inclinations toward kindness, friendship and justice. We offer the children opportunities to resolve conflicts peacefully with their peers. Through these opportunities, they observe the positive outcomes of the collaborative work of children and adults in their community.
For children, there is something special about common tasks which an adult considers ordinary such as paring vegetables, washing dishes, sweeping the floor, and tying shoes. These activities are exciting to children because they allow them to imitate adults. Imitation is one of the strongest urges during children’s early years.
The large wooden puzzle maps are among the most popular activities in the iExplorers Environment. The child can put each puzzle piece into place by means of a little knob on its flat, shiny surface. The introductory map of the world has a separate puzzle piece for each continent. After working with the world map, the child can do one of six puzzle maps of continents in which each country is represented by a separate puzzle piece. Finally, there is a map of Canada with a separate piece for each province.
The children gain an awareness of the world around them by exploring other countries, their customs, food, music, climate, language, and animals. This helps to raise consciousness about other people, to gain an understanding of tolerance and compassion for all people.
Sensorial Activities help children to develop their senses and awareness of the world around them through the use of specialized materials designed to isolate individual qualities such as color, size, shape, weight, texture, and more. This is a very “hands-on” area, each activity involving the whole child. “The hands are the instruments of man’s intelligence.” – Dr. Maria Montessori.
If children have access to mathematical equipment in their early years, they can easily and joyfully assimilate many facts and skills of arithmetic. On the other hand, these same facts and skills may require long hours of drudgery and drill if they are introduced to them later in the abstract form.

iExplorers Montessori offers children an environment rich with opportunities to explore their community. Our lead teachers, holding internationally recognized accreditation through the Association Montessori International (AMI) and North American Montessori Center (NAMC), and additional staff members support the vision of creating the best environment that aids children’s development in a way that is the product of the child’s own and emotional intellectual. The teachers are well experienced and have been working with the little souls for years and are very passionate about their work.
Our greatest goal is that the children go into the world knowing that we are all responsible for one another’s welfare, for the stewardship of all that surrounds us and with a wisdom regarding how we are each tasked with the work of creating a world that will be more peaceful than we found it.
My little one has been going here for 2 years. The teachers have shown lots of patience and guidance to him. Monthly memos are sent out to let you know of events and what the child is learning. Teachers will speak with you on a daily basis if needed. They're friendly and supportive. The kids are happy to come to school, and my son would be upset with me if he had to miss a day of school. We are very grateful for all the love and teaching received from iexplorer's!.
This has been the best experience so far for my daughter. Amazing staff, she is doing so well in such a caring and growth oriented environment. She would love to go every day of the week.
